HEADLINER TIPS
WHEN CLEANING THE OLD HEADLINER BOARD, USE
A WIRE BRUSH OR RAZOR BLADES. DON'T USE ANY
KIND OF GLUE CLEANER OR SOLVENT, BECAUSE THE
NEW ADHESIVE WILL NOT STICK TO ANYTHING THAT HAS
HAD SOLVENT ON IT. DON'T TRY TO GLUE IN HEADLINER
WHEN THE HUMIDITY IS HIGH. SPRAYING THE GLUE IN HIGH
HUMIDITY WILL MIX WATER WITH THE GLUE AND IT WILL NEVER
SET UP. IF YOU HAVE A 4 DOOR HEADLINER TO INSTALL, DO
HALF AT A TIME TO INSURE THAT YOU WILL GET PROPER BOND
AND YOUR ADHESIVE DOESN'T SET TOO QUICK, ESPECIALLY
IN HOT WEATHER. ONE OF THE BIGGEST PROBLEMS PEOPLE
HAVE IS USING TOO MUCH ADHESIVE TO INSTALL THEIR HEADLINER.
IF YOU USE TOO MUCH GLUE, THE VAPORS WILL GO THROUGH THE
FOAM AND BREAK THE BOND BETWEEN THE FABRIC AND FOAM.
THEN THE HEADLINER WILL FALL OR BUBBLE UP BECAUSE
THE BOND HAS BEEN BROKEN.
